چکیده

This paper addresses the subspace properties and the recovery of articulated motion. We point out that the nature of the motion subspace of an articulated object is a combination of a number of intersecting rigid motion subspaces. The rank of that motion subspace is less than that of each articulated part combined, depending on the connection between every two linked parts, either a rotation axis or a rotation joint. The reduced dimension(s) results from an intersection between two motion subspaces of the linked parts which is exactly the motion subspace of the axis or joint that connects them. From these observations, we describes the rank constraints of articulated motion, gives an algorithm to recover the image motion of the axis or joint and propose a novel but simple approach to recover articulated shape and motion from a single-view image sequence, which is based on subspace clustering.

Articulated Soft Objects for Multiview Shape and Motion Capture

We develop a framework for 3–D shape and motion recovery of articulated deformable objects. We propose a formalism that incorporates the use of implicit surfaces into earlier robotics approaches that were designed to handle articulated structures. We demonstrate its effectiveness for human body modeling from synchronized video sequences. Our method is both robust and generic. It could easily be...

Articulated and Elastic Non-rigid Motion: A Review

Motion of physical objects is non-rigid, in general. Most researchers have focused on the study of the motion and structure of rigid objects because of its simplicity and elegance. Recently, investigation of non-rigid structure and motion transformation has drawn the attention of researchers from a wide spectrum of disciplines. Since the non-rigid motion class encompasses a huge domain, we rest...

Vertical dynamics modeling and simulation of a six-wheel unmanned military vehicle (MULE) studied in this paper. The Common Mobility Platform (CMP) chassis provided mobility, built around an advanced propulsion and articulated suspension system gave the vehicle ability to negotiate complex terrain, obstacles, and gaps that a dismounted squad would encounter. Aiming at modeling of vehicle vertic...
